Today (April 3, 2025), Ms. Kirida Phaopichitr, Director of the Economic Intelligence Service (EIS) Research Center, Thailand Development Research Institute (TDRI), spoke about the impact of the announcement of import tariffs on many trading partners of the United States, with Thailand being hit with a 36% tariff, saying that the impact is felt worldwide because every country that exports to the United States will be hit with a 10% import tariff on April 5.
